"There is a chain of memories that hasn't been passed down to the next generation."- Jeffrey Fernbach, Paramount Homes
JACKSON, NJ: Asbury Park Mayor Kevin Sanders joined City Council members and more than 400 Asbury Park residents, dignitaries, prospective homebuyers and others yesterday in celebrating the start of construction on North Beach Asbury Park, a centerpiece of the city's $1.2 billion oceanfront redevelopment effort to encompass 157 luxury condominiums overlooking the ocean, the coastline and the cityscape. "Thousands upon thousands of people of all ages from all over the country care about Asbury Park, people care about what we're doing here today and people care about the future of this city," said Jeffrey Fernbach, President of North Beach Asbury Park's builder Paramount Homes and New Jersey Shore Builders Association's "2003 Builder of the Year" in his remarks to the crowd in the city's Bradley Park. "I couldn't be more proud to play a small part in rekindling that spirit."
North Beach Asbury Park combines the "best qualities of Uptown New York with Asbury Park's phenomenal oceanfront, with its cultural attractions and its glorious history," said Fernbach, referring to the first half of the 20th century when Asbury Park was known as the Jewel of the Jersey Shore. "We have to appreciate the history and understand there is a chain of memories that hasn't been passed down to the next generation. It's up to all of us here today to create more memories, for our children and our grandchildren, memories that will span future generations."
The first phase of North Beach Asbury Park features three oceanfront buildings on the northern end of the boardwalk with resort-style amenities such as a garden courtyard, swimming pool, sundeck, private fitness center, parking garage and concierge services. The homes are to be released for sale this winter. To reserve a place on the builder's V.I.P. list, ensuring first choice of the homes, call Paramount Homes at 732.776.6200
